SantoVac Fluids

Our family of SantoVac fluids falls within the class of PPEs (Polyphenyl Ethers). PPEs have very low volatility, excellent chemical stability, and are thermally stable at temperatures exceeding 400°C, the highest in the synthetic fluids class. These properties allow SantoVac products to perform in extreme conditions, as are found in aerospace applications, diffusion vacuum pumps, high-temperature heat transfer applications, and adverse chemical environments.

Features at a Glance

Our family of SantoVac fluids falls within the class of PPEs (Polyphenyl Ethers). PPEs are considered the fluids of choice since they have low volatility and are resistant to thermal degradation at temperatures reaching 450°C (840°F), the highest in the synthetic fluids class. Because of the low volatility and ability to withstand extremely high temperatures, SantoVac fluids are suitable for use in equipment that operates in extreme environments, such as those encountered in aerospace applications, and as diffusion pump fluids. In addition to these attributes, these fluids are resistant to chemical and ionizing radiation attacks, which makes their use suitable in and around equipment that operates in chemical and ionizing radiation-producing environments.

  • Designed to have extremely low volatility
  • Suitable for use in equipment that operates in extreme environments including extreme vacuum
  • Resistant to thermal degradation at temperatures reaching 450°C
