Santolight Fluids

Our SantoLight™ SL-5262 Optical Fluid is a chemically inert, synthetic polymer designed for sensitive photonic and electro-optic devices. It is a high purity polyphenyl ether exhibiting high refractive index, excellent thermal/oxidative stability, ultra-low volatility, and ionizing radiation stability.

Applications: Our SantoLight fluid finds diverse applications across various fields. These include wafer-level optical metrology, index matching in polyimide waveguides, and serving as a coolant/optical fluid in high-power laser optics. Additionally, it is a non-toxic, high-index microscope immersion fluid and radiation-resistant optical fluid, suitable for medical and nuclear devices. Its utility extends to optical coupling in flat panel displays, gap coupling between prisms and gratings, and in thermally compensated fluid lenses. It also plays a role in projection display components and acts as a solar cell efficiency enhancer, showcasing its versatility and indispensability in advanced optical applications.
